Role 1: Baker/Cake Decorator
Part-time $9-11/hr (Flexi work arrangements possible)
Job Hours: 8.30am – 5.30pm (Full shift with 1 hr break), 8.30am – 1.30pm (Half Shift), Mon & Thurs OFF.
Job Description:
- Ensure daily orders are ready by scheduled timing
- Independently plan your own baking schedule for upcoming orders
- Research and develop new treats and cake design
- Decorate and frost cakes
- Some kitchen or creative artistry experience is required, a passion for handmade crafts and the likes is highly favourable
- High level of personal and food hygiene standards (WSQ Food Safety Course will be provided)
- Will be required to operate machineries like Dishwasher, dehydrators, ovens, and vacuum sealers
- A positive attitude towards feedback and learning on the job
- You may be required to work independently while working as a team
Role 2: Front-of-House
Part-time $9-11/hr, From $2400 with CPF
Job Hours: 9.30am – 6.00pm (Full shift with 1 hr break), 9.30am – 3.30pm (Half Shift), Mon & Thurs OFF. WE ARE NOT A CAFE WITH WALK-IN.
Job Description:
- Process orders and attend to customers’ enquiries
- Pack and oversee daily deliveries and store pick-ups of orders
- Manage store inventory and ensure the website is up to date
- Provide a positive and quality customer experience
- Attend to retail sales
- Attend to cafe bookings and guests (2- and 4-legged)
- Perform all other duties as and when assigned
- Some experience (at least 2 years in customer service or pet-related trade) is required
- You need to be a meticulous individual with a keen eye for detail
- You will be expected to maintain store hygiene
- A neat and tidy individual
- Will be required to operate machineries like Dishwasher, dehydrators, ovens, and vacuum sealers
- A positive attitude towards feedback and learning on the job
- You may be required to work independently while working as a team
Prior experience is not required as on-the-job training will be provided.
Role 3: Bark-rista (Pet-friendly Barista)
Part-time $9 – $12/hr (Tiong Bahru Branch)
- Be required to assist with the day-to-day coffee making, including calibrating a manual coffee machine
- Make and serve a selection of coffee and non-coffee beverages
- Have knowledge of our products – including our pet-related goods
- Taste our coffee regularly to ensure quality, uphold our standards, and develop your palate
- Create a friendly and warm environment for your peers, colleagues and customers alike
- Perform tasks that keep the cafe clean and hygienic—these tasks may vary but can include cleaning, clearing and washing dishes, sweeping, dusting, mopping, cleaning, organizing, and taking out the trash
- Maintain proper health, food safety, and workplace safety guidelines
- Proactive and independent individuals as you may be rostered on your own
- Very interested in learning and making coffee
- Outgoing and able to interact with customers and retain regulars
- Passionate about working with dogs around
- Excited about taking on challenges and possess a positive attitude
